dirocyn and I kicked some serious furniture booty this past weekend. He and I built all by our onesies a beatiful and really cool new entertainment center. The thing is friggin' huge (and friggin' heavy). 69' x 72' x 20'....big, big. dirocyn started designing the thing on Wednesday. On Thursday we trekked off to Lowe's. On Friday we deconstructed the old entertainment center, and on Saturday we commenced to sawing and hammering and what-all. It was a blast. We kind of designed it as we went, and generally BSed our way through the entire process. And we done good, if I do say so myself.
Saturday night I went to bed in so much pain I seriously considered having a good cry. I am old and out of shape. I took a hot bath (and thankfully had my man there to fish me out of the tub again when I was through) and went to bed. Sunday morning we were at it again. We finished it (including moving in) by Sunday eve.
Yay us!
In other news: my two littlest rugrats are both sick. They are both running slight temperatures and have a yucksome cough. I think we're on the last leg of the thing though, Rowan is already mostly better, and Morgan is about a day behind him. I hate it when my babies are sick, though. They are so piffle.
