I saw the movie tonight with
cybermathwitch and
the_disco_fairy. I rather adored it. It was not art, but there was so much suck-nostalgia -- (I grew up with GI Joe, ya know?) that I ended up loving it.
Even the cheese.
(I have one or two thinky thoughts about it that would lead me too far down Spoiler Lane, and I can't be arsed to bother with a cut.)
So.

Gaiman and Pratchett
May. 26th, 2008 09:40 pmI finally got to see Stardust last night. If you haven't seen it yet you .. uh.. should. It's lovely. I'm beginning to believe that I need to explore Gaiman. I've read Good Omens (the intellectual love-child he fathered with Terry Pratchett), and now I've seen Stardust. Those of you in the know, and I'm looking at you
black_magdalene, does the movie bear any resemblance to the book?
I also have a copy of Anansi Boys that I picked up on the cheap, but I haven't read it yet.
In other news, I've also recently seen Hogfather. I absolutely adore Terry Pratchett.
