Something like unto an update

unforgrettable's wedding. She, her man, my kids and my lovely self shall all be decked to the nines. Only, I'll look all scary because I'll have pulled out all of my hair, have red, bloodshot eyes, and possibly a new tattoo. I'm feelin' just about that crazy. (But hey, so far her dress is fantastic and Jim's tunic looks just fine on him.) I told my daughter yesterday that I don't care if the Queen Mum were to get married and call me up personally, I am NEVER making another wedding dress. Ever.
In fandom news: no, I haven't written a drop more of my fledgling Harry Potter fic, and I am finding myself drawn more and more into LOTR fandom. I'm driving the Crackvan
bus for LOTR fic this month, and I must say, there is some really GOOD shit out there. Stories written by people who've read the books, (even *gasp* The Silmarillion.)
So, now I'm all wanting to write LOTR fic. I'm a pervy hobbit fancier, I really am. I want to write "Lady Chatterly's Hobbit." I would love to explore the dynamics between Legolas and Gimli. With or without the slash, that's an interesting relationship. Eowyn is a wonderful character, and I'd love to explore whether or not her going into battle on the Pellenor Fields was heroism, or an irresponsible abandoning of her post as regent of Rohan. Or both.
And Faramir's just dreamy. (as I squee all over the screen, thereby loosing any intellectual credibility the previous two paragraphs might have won me.)
