My Girl Likes to Party All the Time
May. 22nd, 2007 10:13 pmToday was the Excellence in Academics Awards Day at Rockvale (or something like that). Rhiannon was told that she had won something, but not what. So, off to school I went today, to watch my baby girl win awards. She came away with four awards this year.

They actually didn't call her name for the Honor Roll and Rhi, being Rhi, got up anyway and talked to one of the teachers running the show. Ms. Lee says "did you make a C?" and Rhiannon is very "I've Never Made a C in My Life!" (I could sort of tell what was going on from up in the bleachers). Ms. Lee sneaks backstage, talks to Mr. Johnson (the principal), sneaks back out and sticks Rhi in line. I'm not sure how they missed her but .... they gave her the award anyway. I have to say I think I am as proud of Rhi for doing that as I am for winning the awards to begin with. I am so glad that she is the sort of person who will stand up for herself.
My kid rocks.
