I'm pretty proud of myself. I've been making some real good progress in terms of goal setting and (perhaps more tellingly) in accomplishing those goals. Yay me!
I've done some good stuff around the house....beyond surface cleaning stuff. I've been unpacking, putting away, the kind of thing that once its done will stay done and will improve the over-all quality of my life.
I have a new attitude about "stuff," that I have gleaned from my forays into hausfrau-dom on the internet. This comes from the Fly Lady -- if the things in my home do not bless me or my family, then why do I still have them? From now on when I'm cleaning/decluttering, I'll pick up that ugly cow that used to belong to Aunt Flo's second cousin and say to myself "does this thing bless me? does owning it make my life happier? better? more fulfilled?" if the answer is no, then out the door it goes. I fully expect to own considerably less stuff this time next year.
