I guess I should update for real.....
Dec. 4th, 2003 09:43 amOkay, after yesterday's meme barrage, I figured I should post an update with actual words in it.
Thanksgiving was mostly very pleasant.
unforgrettable and I are damn good cooks, if I do say so myself. My turkey and her ham were both incredible, as was the rest of the spread. (Between the two of us we baked six loaves of bread. Mmmmmmmmmm....) In some ways it was a bit of a let-down, but all in all I'm very happy with it. I derive a great deal of pleasure from cooking beautiful and delicious food, feeding it to people I love, and then having them lavish outrageous praise all over me. Yeah. (Hey, at least I'm honest!)
I'm gearing up for Christmas this week. I got my village put up on top of my bookcases. I rigged my European lego-like "Exin" castle up on a "hill" above the village, and shoved a gacked light up one of the towers. It looks pretty durned groovy, if I do say so myself. I keep saying so myself. I just noticed that. Anyway. I plan to get the rest of the decorating done this week, and hopefully the tree up this weekend. Ninewoods has our full moon on Saturday, and we are hosting a community children's moon on Sunday, so I'm not entirely sure when and how this is going to all work out.
unforgrettable and I switched bodies. It disturbed the rest of the coven. There we were planning out the children's ritual and she said "so who will be doing what?" and I said, "We'll just figure it out when we get in there." heehee I think we've been good for each other.
I need to figure out what I'm getting who for Christmas, and get the presents I want to make done. I've already got a couple of knitting projects well underway, and there's some sewing I want to do. I'm going to be bizzy bizzy all month. But it should be a happy kind of busy--I like to make things. And hey, my house is still clean! How's that for crazy?!
