So you say you want a resolution?
Jan. 2nd, 2004 08:42 amWell, you know, we all want to change the world. But don't you know its gonna be alright?
Earlier I talked about how
dirocyn and I were looking at some lists he and I had made last December and January. Many, many of the things that we had wanted to see change had changed. This rather inspires me to do it again this year. Last year the goals we had seemed completely unattainable. Our bedroom was so bad--it was piled up with boxes from when we'd moved in back in 2000.
But we did it, and so much more besides. In this past year, heck in the past two months, we've come much, much closer to moving into this house.
So anyway, here's what I'm looking for in 2004:
I also want to write more, be a better mother, be more patient (look at me *not* asking the gods for this), and to finish more of the things that I begin.
I have come so far so fast that I have gained a great deal of self confidence. This entire past year has been a growing experience for me. If I remember correctly my last day at my job was January 2, 2003. Since then I have changed an incredible amount. I am really coming into my own, I think.
Let's continue that trend. How's that for a resolution? I want to be good at being me. *grins*

So anyway, here's what I'm looking for in 2004:
- to continue to develop routines that make my life easier
- to take care of myself, esp. my physical and mental health
- to finish moving in (by which I mean unpack all the boxes and put it all away)
- to get rid of the things in my life that don't bless me--I mean that both literally and metaphorically
- to continue to become more financially secure and responsible
- oh, and I want to lose weight--I gained back some of what I lost last spring *scowls.*
I also want to write more, be a better mother, be more patient (look at me *not* asking the gods for this), and to finish more of the things that I begin.
