Well, you know, we all want to change the world. But don't you know its gonna be alright?

Earlier I talked about how [livejournal.com profile] dirocyn and I were looking at some lists he and I had made last December and January. Many, many of the things that we had wanted to see change had changed. This rather inspires me to do it again this year. Last year the goals we had seemed completely unattainable. Our bedroom was so bad--it was piled up with boxes from when we'd moved in back in 2000.

But we did it, and so much more besides. In this past year, heck in the past two months, we've come much, much closer to moving into this house.

So anyway, here's what I'm looking for in 2004:

  • to continue to develop routines that make my life easier

  • to take care of myself, esp. my physical and mental health

  • to finish moving in (by which I mean unpack all the boxes and put it all away)

  • to get rid of the things in my life that don't bless me--I mean that both literally and metaphorically

  • to continue to become more financially secure and responsible

  • oh, and I want to lose weight--I gained back some of what I lost last spring *scowls.*

I also want to write more, be a better mother, be more patient (look at me *not* asking the gods for this), and to finish more of the things that I begin.

I have come so far so fast that I have gained a great deal of self confidence. This entire past year has been a growing experience for me. If I remember correctly my last day at my job was January 2, 2003. Since then I have changed an incredible amount. I am really coming into my own, I think.

Let's continue that trend. How's that for a resolution? I want to be good at being me. *grins*

Fear Me!

This was gacked from [livejournal.com profile] nessieamenhotep.

Your Viking Name is...

Kaðlín Blacklegs

(Well, actually, that wouldn't really be your name -- since you're female, your name would be something like "Kaðlín Björnsdottir". But this is the twenty-first century, and you want to be known for who you are, not for who your father was, right? Right.)

Your Viking Personality: You're a doughty, stalwart Viking, or at least you would be if you were male. You have a thirst for battle, and tend to strike first and think later. As a Viking, you're one of the "berserkers", and rush into battle with no clothes on. If the sight of you naked isn't enough to disable the enemy, your sword certainly will be.

You can handle long sea voyages easily, despite the lack of amenities. You possess some skills which other Vikings respect.

You have a fairly pragmatic attitude towards life, and tend not to expend effort in areas where it would be wasted. Due to your gregariousness, you don't strike fear into the hearts of your victims. Try to be a little more surly in the future.
